WHAT IS SPOKEN TUTORIAL PROJECT ?                                                                                        The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. NIT Calicut is a resource center  for Spoken Tutorial Activities in North Kerala. The Spoken Tutorial project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool – Spoken Tutorials.

An awareness event & Pilot Workshop was conducted on August,28,2013  10:00 am at National Institute of Technology Calicut by the Spoken tutorial Team. Every one felt the importance and strength of open-source .

An appreciable participation from almost 30 colleges/organisations across Calicut was recorded and the whole team is optimistic for the initiative to work for every enthusiast.
